Fuckup Nights Adelaide Vol IV - Stories about failure

Monday, April 12, 2021

06:00 PM - 07:30 PM

The Innovation Factory

60 Halifax St, Adelaide SA 5000, Australia

Welcome to FuckUp Nights Adelaide VOL IV! We celebrate mistakes, failures, and stories that ‘help build character’ and make us the humans that we are.

We are happy to collaborate with The Innovation Factory, which is also our host.

FuckUp Nights (FUN) is a global movement born in Mexico in 2012, already represented in 243 cities and 76 countries. Now FUN is coming to the Innovation Factory on Monday, 12 April 6.00 pm - 7.30 pm. As well as hearing from different speakers there will be a chance for Q&A, an opportunity to share your own story plus plenty of networking + drinks!

Each month speakers all around the world are invited to talk about their FuckUp stories; we’ll learn about their biggest mistakes, what they learned, how they moved on- all whilst sharing invaluable advice along the way.

The speakers will candidly share in 7 minutes:

* What their project/business was

* What went wrong / How it affected their personal life / What they learned / What they would do differently.

At the end of each person’s story, you’ll have a chance to ask questions- nothing too cheeky, but feel free to dig around.

You’ll hear stories and advice you won’t get elsewhere - and these stories will (hopefully) put you in good stead to not make the same fuckups.

Some nibbles and drinks will be provided!

Speaker #1 - Sanja Jovanovic

Event details image 1

Sanja is the founder of Talent Academy and works to cure public speaking anxiety for people facing stage or screen presentations. With a background in musical theatre and ballet, she lived and breathed performance and noticed a lack of performance prowess in most corporate presentations. Sanja trains teams across multiple industries including defence, professional services, retail and more. She is also a TEDx speaker coach.

Raised in Adelaide, Sanja is passionate to support local business and has advised on boards and committees over the years. Recently, she joined the team at Startup Adelaide to lead the charge as Head of Events and PR, further supporting the board to deliver key outcomes for start ups and small businesses in the state.

Safe to say, mistakes have been made along the way. Perhaps we'll call them learning curves? She has a story to share!
